The name "Eudaimoneion" is derived from the ancient Greek concept of eudaimonia, which refers to a state of well-being, happiness, and flourishing that comes from living a life of virtue and fulfillment.
Our Slogan
Our slogan, "Noli turbare circulos meos!" (Do not disturb my circles!), is attributed to the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes. According to historical accounts, these were his last words when a Roman soldier interrupted his mathematical work during the conquest of Syracuse in 212 BCE. Archimedes was so engrossed in studying geometric figures drawn in the sand that he reportedly uttered this phrase before being killed by the soldier who had disturbed his concentration.
We've adopted this slogan as it symbolizes the dedication to intellectual pursuits and the importance of focused, uninterrupted thought in scholarly work. It represents our commitment to creating a space where ideas can be explored deeply, without unnecessary disruption.
We believe that the pursuit of knowledge and understanding is essential to human flourishing, and we aim to create a platform that supports this pursuit.
